Dear Esteemed Readers,
I'm writing to let you know that I'm putting observationmode on hiatus, so that I can take a blogging break.
I'm feeling the need to regroup and look at what I'm doing with the blog. Though I am inspired by new things every day, I feel like I've worked myself into a rut, and until I work out why and how that happened, I'm stepping back.
Some of you may have noticed I've slowed down in commenting and reading blogs. That's true, I have. But I want to make clear that my absence doesn't mean I don't love you anymore. I do. But for the last several months, I've been following more than 130 blogs, and with everyone's brilliantly prolific talents, it's difficult to keep up! Everyone has such great ideas, insights, and thoughts, I was driven to keep up with every single one. I love everyone's work so very much, I didn't want to miss a thing. I also didn't want to disappoint anyone by not showing up to their blog every day. But I think I overloaded on blog reading, so I will be taking a step back from that, too.
I know my Esteemed Readers to be wonderful people with integrity, empathy, and intelligence, and I'm grateful to have been in your midst. I'm not sure if I'll resume blogging again, but I'm leaving the option open. I hope everyone will understand.

I think breaks - and taking them when you know you must - are a great solution to blog-overwhelm. Having said this, as you know I LOVE your blog and I am so sad your great posts won't be there to greet me each day. Please consider coming back when - and if - the time is right. OMG? I was wondering about you and was looking for some posts of yours I could comment on. Certainly 130 blogs is a ton of information to follow on a daily basis so I don't blame you one bit for feeling the way that you do.
I sincerely hope that during this period of retrospect, you are able to tap into a personal equilibrium that will bring you out of this rut and into a harmonious and balanced interaction with the internet (and blogs).

The blogosphere is not the same without your wit, wisdom, insight, incredible eye and tremendous sense of humour. The rut was never visible on your blog, not for a moment. That said, I certainly understand why you are taking the break.

I do know what you mean. I agree with others though, that the rut was not visible. I too am having difficulty with the blogging. I am just doing it for fun, not trying to be a writer or make money, so I won't fret too much. I do miss it when I don't connect with my blogging buddies though. Have a good respite, and I will keep looking for you to be back! Oh, also thank you so much for reading and supporting my blog.

Taking a break is often just the sort of thing to suddenly provide clarity.
I can only imagine you coming back stronger, more focused and in better shape. Eyes and hearts need love, vacations and inspiration.

I know how you feel, blogging can be all consuming which at times can make you lose sight of what you actually want to say. Whatever happens you can use the New Year to start afresh and I'll be doing the same.

I understand completely. Sometimes when I sit and look at my blog for a bit, I ask myself, where I am I going with this? Is it something I want to pursue forever, or is it just something to play around with.
